CIO-CISO Summit, October 22-23, 2024, Radisson Blu Hotel Scandinavia, Copenhagen, Denmark. Organized by InfoTeam
I had the opportunity to be a panel speaker at the CIO & CISO Nordic Summit last week at Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel, Copenhagen ๐
Enganging discussions around the topics of cybersecurity, AI, and data governance. Whatโs interesting to me is, I learned year after year in this similar event about the issues of peopleโs engagement, hopeless leadership, and disfunctional ways-of-working that have slowed down or even stopped digital transformation initiatives. No matter how sophisticated the tech is or how much money thrown ๐
Thatโs WHY I was there – as a person with combined experience and interests in organizational behavior, business, leadership, and digital innovation ๐ซ
To give a perspective that more than 80% transformation initiatives failed because the lack of human skills.
We paid a lot of money to train people in โHow to do their jobsโ but less in โHow to be a better human being, a better team member, a better leaderโโผ๏ธ
We are taught how to make exquisite business and project plan, or to solve IT bugs, but NOT in how to give feedback, to listen – not only whatโs being said but also WHY itโs being said, to articulate, to do effective confrontation, and to take difficult conversation. All human skills to win as a team, as one company ๐
Leadership is difficult. Transformation is difficult. I highly suggest to not do something difficult alone. As if donโt go to war alone โ
Thatโs WHY I am here – so you donโt need to take this difficult journey alone

CIO & CISO X Nordics, June 26, 2024, at D’Angleterre Hotel, Copenhagen, Denmark. Organized by EDS

Yesterday was my third time of this year being invited as a speaker at a hashtag#CIO hashtag#CISO hashtag#Nordics conference. After Tivoli Hotel (Copenhagen) and Grand Hotel (Stockholm), the venue routed back to Hotel DโAngleterre (Copenhagen). This time the invitation came from EDS.
Joined by three other great speakers Ingegerd Wirehed , Michael Alex Reimann Svendsen , and Jacob Haagen Jensen , we shared our points of view on how to bring change amidst culture, what leadersโ characters are needed to embrace agile, and how to navigate in the organization despite siloes.
I am grateful for the opportunity and to learn that more and more people found value from my talk.
I really like my job.
Helping leaders and teams – people basically – during hashtag#transformation, in discovering the better version of themselves and realizing their powerful potentials, be it becoming a better (servant) leader or a reflective, creative, and analytical-thinking team member, all for productive business result and stronger relationship, are what MAKE ME HAPPY ๐
CIO Nordics 2024, at Grand Hotel, Stockholm, Sweden. April 2024. Organized by Citrus Event
Last week, I was at #Spegalsen Hall #GrandHรดtel Stockholm where the first Nobel Prize ceremony took place in 1901. By the invitation of CIO Nordics , I joined as a panelist.
With my background in e-commerce, I conveyed the message about one customer journey. The business shall attribute the right incentives to minimize sales conflict in their omnichannel. Not taken care of, it will lead to an arbitrary act done by both the online and offline sales team, intentionally to secure but eventually canceling each otherโs OKR/ KPI.
Omni-channel is not a multi-channel. Multi-channel runs independently. Omni connects the experience at the right time with the right content. Multi places PRODUCT at the center of strategy. Omni places CUSTOMER.
I also shared a few insights around my favorite topics in #human, overcoming resistance, #trust, and a thought-provoking perspective: From #supplychainmanagement to #demandchainmanagement (Corona taught us hard on this).
All in all, #CIONordics2024 was a great event, allowing me to expand my network and exchange knowledge among IT and Business leaders in the region.
See you again at my future talk event ๐ค

CIO/CISO Nordics Summit, Tivoli Hotel, Copenhagen, Denmark.
March 2024. Organized by CDM Media
My third year participating at CIO/CISO Nordics Summit. It has always been the day I get smarter around whatโs happening in the digital business world and expand my network within this industry.
I was humbled to contribute as a speaker for the second time. This year to give more of a human touch among the already tech-heavy topics.
Spoken from the angle of why many transformations failed, bringing up the realization that it is mostly because we put strong expert leaders who are lacked of soft-skills to lead the transformation. Using some hashtag#organizationalbehavior models, I shared my hands-on experience in helping leaders discovering their empathetic strength in empowering the people, and guiding colleagues to be the authentic and courageous version of themselves in approaching tasks and taking difficult conversations. Trust, really. From here, the result of transformation is simply the product of this process.
Thank you to Sarbajit Deb for the pictures and attending my session. To Prof. Hernan Huwyler, MBA CPA for the genuine and valuable feedback to my public speaking. To Jacob Haagen Jensen for inviting me to the roundtable of Surviving Transformation. Change is indeed hard, especially when we humans are not wired to do it.
Yes, you can see, I really like what I did/ do for work ๐
I appreciate the team CDM Media especially Sagal Ahmed and Sarah Cutmore for organizing this event. Hope to see you all again next year.
